Your have to appreciate the work and talent that this man has, the capability of freehand typography and illustration is something to be admired.
The respect I have for his freehand illustration design without computer aided design and this is something that I will aim to progress with next semester for some of my projects.
I have had the privileged of meeting Si Scott on my foundation, the lecture consisted of the showing of his work and clients.
Some of the best tips I received from himself was maybe not the best study technique from an academic view, but the tip consisted leaving things to the final moment and then staying up all night creating the work for the client.
Just take a look at his work for national lottery, fantastic work but all created in one night on his kitchen floor. Something I can correlate with this as many of my projects have suffered the same predicament myself.
Looking at his freehand illustrations and how he has used this with his graphical talent, selling his techniques and creating design where the client expects to see his talents and style. Not a set brief or design structure.
